Spark Initiative

Spark Initiative

The Spark Initiative is a dynamic, youth-centric program designed to help young people discover their creative potential and amplify their voices through arts and culture. Building on the success of the year-long Z-Axis program in 2024, Nautanki has evolved this initiative to focus on innovation, self-expression, and intergenerational dialogue.

What We Offer?

Creative Empowerment: Discover your voice through storytelling and arts-based workshops.

Cultural Connection: Explore your heritage and contribute new perspectives to the South Asian diaspora.

Industry Access: Work directly with professional mentors and artists from the community.

Radical Inclusion: An accessible, safe space designed specifically for CaLD creatives.

The program focuses on fostering innovation, self-expression, and intergenerational dialogue. It helps young creatives connect with their cultural heritage while contributing fresh perspectives to the arts. It also addresses barriers to participation by promoting accessibility and encouraging the inclusion of marginalised voices. The Spark Initiative is a vibrant platform for young artists in Western Sydney to find their “spark” and set their ideas alight.

Youth Week at Parramatta Council & LGA

Youth Week is about giving young people opportunities to be themselves, to showcase their talents and skills, participate and celebrate where they are from, their cultures, experiences, identity, and their strengths.

If you’re a young Australian between 14 and 30 years and culturally identify as a South Asian or have South Asian lineage, then feel free to send your Expression of Interest through the form below or email directly to pr*****@**********rg.au

Parramatta Council supports the Spark program.
