Neel Banerjee, Nautanki’s Creative Director was invited to the University of Liberal Arts in Dhaka – Bangladesh for a workshop

The Department of General Education (GED) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a workshop titled “To be or not to be, an ethical question” Tuesday on its campus. 

Head of GED and Director of CAS Dr Shahnaj Husne Jahan gave the opening speech. Neel Banerjee, an intercultural theatre practitioner and founder of Nautanki Theatre Company in Sydney, Australia, facilitated the workshop, reads a press release issued Wednesday.

Central to the workshop were group discussions on issues like how ethics plays an important role in professional theatre practice and allows performers to re-educate themselves in theatre.

Neel Banerjee shared his experiences with two different art practices and craftsmanship on two cultures and how he finds himself in a position where he can analyze, understand and appreciate.
